Basketball: "The feeling of being unstoppable? At times, yes," exults Paris point guard TJ Shorts, assuring that "it's not over."

The Parisian coach and his star point guard answered questions from the press after their performance against Monaco on Tuesday, during match 2 of the Betclic Elite finals.

Tiago Splitter (Paris basketball coach, after the demonstration against Monaco ) : “ The team was focused, they followed the plan, some individuals had good games, like this boy who is sitting next to me (TJ Shorts), but others too, the team was good on the rebound, we shot better in the second half… A lot of contributions from a lot of guys to win. The substitutes? Nadir (Hifi) pushed the tempo, that helps collapse their defense on him and that opens up shooting opportunities for the others. Game 3? It’s not over. That’s why it’s best of five. We’ll have to be focused, it will be the toughest game on Friday.”

The last match at the Adidas Arena for many players and Tiago Splitter? There was a great atmosphere, the crowd pushed us. There was emotion, it's true, but you have to be careful, it can take you in the wrong direction... (…) It's good to have won, we're happy, but we'll be back to work tomorrow. The routine: rest, reviewing the images, being ready, massages, treatments... We have to stay focused and above all respect them, they are the Euroleague finalists, one of the best teams in Europe.

TJ Shorts (Paris Basketball point guard) : “ We’re more mature (than last year), we always learn from defeats, we know Monaco well too. We learn from ourselves, from what we need to improve to win. And the new players also help, especially Yak (Ouattara), who has been so valuable for Monaco in the past and who can guide us on their way of operating. This combination gives confidence. Alpha Diallo and Terry Tarpey opposite? You have to give credit to my teammates, the coaches. My teammates support me, help me be in my spots, and the coaches design plays so I have easier positions. It’s not easy against these defenders, but I believe in my teammates, my coaches, and the work I’m doing. I’m doing what I’ve been doing all season. The feeling of being unstoppable? At times, yes. When you’re in the zone like that, you have the feeling that the defense will be wrong, no matter what they do.” Whether it goes in or not, I just have to think about the next shot. Sometimes you make more shots, sometimes less, that was a good day. When you're in that rhythm, that dynamic, you have the feeling that everything is going to go in.

The last one at the Adidas Arena for several players and the coach? It's hard to think about that in a series like this. The goal is to win the series, the title. No secret, it's possible that it's the last match, but I'm focused on the title; I'm trying not to listen to that kind of emotion. So close to the title? We can't be satisfied. We haven't done anything yet; we've only done our job by winning matches at home. It will be the toughest match of the season in Monaco on Friday. We have confidence in ourselves, in the game plan, and in what we've done all season. We'll go there with maximum concentration and effort, and I hope we leave with the trophy. Monaco? They'll try to be more physical. You have to try things when others don't work. It will be interesting to see what they do. But my focus is on our team, not theirs; we'll try to be even better. We'll be prepared for whatever their plan is and we'll try to win. More energy? I don't know. We've had the same schedule, they've played a few more games. I don't know what their energy level is, ours is very high. We have to rest and give it our all because it will be even tougher in Monaco. "
